The Route: The route follows a flat 1-mile course around Fort De Soto Park. There are grassy areas along the race route. This is a non-competitive event and is purely for enjoyment.
To Benefit: Ride and Run with The Stars proceeds benefit the Pinellas County Sheriff's Christmas Sharing Project, which helps crime victims, children, and families during the holidays.
Cost: The registration fee includes a long-sleeve logo Dry-Fit T-Shirt, food, and giveaways. Early Registration for the 10K Family Bike Ride, Family Fun Run, or 25-Mile Bike Ride is $40. Early Registration for the 5K Chipped race is $45. The registration fee will include a logo Dry-Fit T-Shirt, food ticket, giveaways, and more. The Fort De Soto daily parking fee of $5 will be WAIVED during the event. The fee includes a logo Dry-Fit T-Shirt, food, and giveaways. Participants can pick up their packets Tuesday, November 28th from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Forensic Science Building (4801 145th Avenue North, Clearwater, FL), and Wednesday, November 29th, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Administration Building (10750 Ulmerton Road, Largo, FL). Packets may also be picked up at the event. Shirts are only guaranteed to the first 700 entrants (late registration - while they last). Bike helmets are required.
Silent Auction items and giveaways are provided by generous sponsors. In years past, items have included bikes, kayaks, cycling equipment, gift cards to local restaurants, and more.
Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Elves visit the park via helicopter to hear children’s wishes and pass out gifts.
